Tuna and olive pasta
Pasta with tuna and olives topped with toasted breadcrumbs and capers is a flavorful, simple and very tasty first course, perfect on its own or for dinner with friends.
Preparing tuna and olive pasta
To prepare tuna and olive spaghetti, first of all heat a pan containing plenty of water. When the water starts to boil, salt and add the Spaghetti.
In the meantime, brown the crushed garlic cloves together with the Pitted Aromatic Olives in a pan with a drizzle of Pure Olive Oil.
After a couple of minutes, add the coarsely chopped White Tuna Fish in Olive Oil along with a ladle of the pasta cooking water and leave the tuna and olive sauce to develop flavor for a couple of minutes.
In a separate pan, add two tablespoons of Pure Olive Oil together with one tablespoon of Flavored Oil made using our Olives. Heat slightly and add the desalted and chopped capers along with the breadcrumbs. Toast, turning often until nice and golden.
Drain the pasta when al dente and finish cooking in the tuna and olive sauce along with another ladle of cooking water.
Serve the tuna and olive spaghetti with the toasted caper breadcrumbs and a few dried oregano leaves.
