Walnut Sauce
From the Ligurian tradition comes this creamy, smooth, versatile sauce. We select only the finest walnuts, shelled and perfect, and we grind them finely before combining them with the other distinctive ingredients: cheese, ricotta and our exquisite Olive Oil.
Walnuts, olive oil, milk proteins, Ricotta cheese (whey, salt, lactic acid), cheese (pasteurized milk, rennet, salt), cream, salt, garlic. Antioxidant: ascorbic acid, acidity regulator: lactic acid.
Contains: milk and nuts. May contain nutshell fragments, peanuts and other tree nuts.
Gluten free
Store in a cool and dry place, away from light.
After opening keep refrigerated and use within 3-4 days.

Characteristic walnut color, slightly toned down and variegated by the cheese and ricotta.
TASTE AND FLAVOR
Very delicate, with the sweet taste of the walnuts skillfully balanced with just the right amount of the other quality ingredients, which add flavor and a smooth, creamy texture, while letting the main ingredient shine through.
AROMA
The first aroma perceived is walnut, followed by our Olive Oil, perfectly blended with the cheese.
A pleasantly delicate, exotic recipe
Walnut sauce was already known to the ancient Persians, and over the centuries its use spread to Oriental and Balkan cuisine. There are two stories of the arrival of the recipe in Liguria: according to the first, around 1500, at the time of the Maritime Republics, the recipe, if not the actual sauce, was brought by the Genoese across the sea; the second indicates that walnut sauce was invented in the Rapallo area to counter the bitter taste of the wild herbs used in filled pasta.
