Vegetable Ratatouille

Sometimes the most exquisite flavors derive from a simple recipe. This is the magic of our Ratatuia, prepared as you might at home, using nothing but firm, fleshy vegetables harvested when perfectly ripe. To strike a perfect balance between flavour and creamy texture, we enhance them with the same sweet tomato pulp that goes into our Basil Tomato Sauce.

WAY OF COOKING Preparation time: 2 minutes. To taste it at its best simply pour the Ratatouille in a saucepan and heat on the stove or in a microwave at 650 W pouring it in a safe container without adding water. It can be eaten as it is as a side dish, both hot or cold, or as a single dish or to prepare tasty recipes.

An interesting name

The origin of the name Ratatuia is uncertain, but some believe it derives from "ravatto", meaning “odds and ends” in the local Liguria dialect. It identifies a vegetable recipe, originally eaten mostly by country folk in the summer. Today, the rich blend of flavors of this simple, genuine recipe have made it a popular, versatile specialty for numerous occasions.
