Only 100% Italian durum wheat semolina goes into our Penne Rigate, made in Gragnano, the home of the Italian pasta-making tradition. They are bronze-drawn to give them that rough surface that helps to retain the sauce, and dried at length in static cells at low temperatures for up to 42 hours to maintain all the flavor of the wheat.

APPEARANCE BEFORE COOKING AND CONSISTENCY

Slightly rough, with an even color tending towards amber, regular in shape. Elastic and firm to the taste when cooked, remaining al dente even if cooked beyond the recommended time.

 

AROMA

During and after cooking, the Fusilli pasta gives off all the delicious fragrance of quality durum wheat dried at very low temperatures.
