Our Pesto is made from only the finest ingredients, such as Genoese basil P.D.O., our Extra Virgin Olive Oil . The basil is delicately crushed as it might be with a mortar in a homely kitchen, for an exquisite taste that preserves all its goodness, characteristic bright green color and genuine flavor.

INGREDIENTS: extra virgin olive oil, preparation based on dehydrated cheese (milk proteins, cheese, cream, natural flavors), Genoese basil P.D.O. 13%, pine kernels 8%, salt, Parmigiano Reggiano P.D.O. 0,5%, Pecorino Cheese P.D.O. 0,5%, garlic 0,4%, acidity regulator: lactic acid, citric acid, antioxidant: ascorbic acid.

Contains: milk, cashews, peanuts. May contain other tree nuts.

Our Pesto Sauce is not pasteurized, so it is not treated at high temperatures. This is because we want to bring you a freshly prepared product, with all its flavor, aroma and color intact.

AROMA

Intense, persistent, highly aromatic. The tasty purée of basil and cheese is enhanced by our Extra Virgin Olive Oil, perfectly blended with a hint of garlic that’s clearly perceptible but not overpowering and contributes to the smooth flavor.

Genoese basil P.D.O.: green gold

A Mediterranean plant with ancient origins, in Liguria basil has found the ideal environment and the perfect growing methods to become a typical product with a Protected Denomination of Origin (P.D.O.) label. Its medium-small, tender, oval, convex leaves, light green in color, have a delicate aroma and flavor, balanced as in no other variety. Used to prepare pesto and minestrone soup, Ligurian basil is a symbol of the simple, fragrant cuisine of the whole region.
